EBAMP accredits the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering. The event has been judged according to the EBAMP protocol and it has been accredited by EBAMP as CPD event for Medical Physicists at EQF Level 7 and awarded 38 CPD credit points.

We have already received more than 1500 abstracts! We would like to thank all those who have sent an abstract for review. Final extension of abstract submission deadline: January 31, 2018. Abstracts submitted in the period from December 20, 2017 to January 31, 2018 that are accepted will only be included in the Book of Abstracts. Authors of these abstracts will not be allowed to submit full papers.

VISITORS
IFMBE-Sponsored Student Design Competition WC2018
The design competition is organized by the Education and Accreditation Commmittee of the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering in Prague, Czech Republic from 3rd to 8th June 2018.
Theme of CompetitionThe focus of the competition is on the design of appropriate technology to improve healthcare in resource-scarce communities. The designs will be judged according the following four criteria:
(a) Innovativeness; Potential benefit/s to the healthcare of resource-scarce communities; (c) Low cost and ease of deployment and (d) Viability of the design and potential to reach the market.
All team members must be bona-fide students at the time of WC2018. The projects must have been carried out in the students‘ institutions. Number of members per team can be up to 5.
Competition Format
Six (6) submissions will be shortlisted fot he competition. All shortlisted submission of the competition are required to present and demonstrate their design during the 2018 World Congress in Prague.
Awards
Cash prizes plus certificates will be awarded to the 6 finalists. In addition, the registration fees for the finalists will be reimbursed by the IFMBE.

Submit your abstract through the On-line Abstract Submission Form that is available at the Call for Abstracts pageand apply for the competition in the relevant part of the On-line Abstract Submission Form.
If you have already submitted your abstract and you wish to apply for the competition, please contact abstracts.iupesm2018@guarant.cz. Do not submit the identical abstract again.
