- Girls in Technology (GIT) (US) is led by a committee of Women in Technology (WIT) members who are dedicated to initiating programs designed to create awareness, excitement, educate and inspire girls in grades 6 through 12 to the vast array of opportunities available to women in the fields STEM.
- Girlstart's (US) mission is to increase girls’ interest and engagement in STEM through innovative, nationally-recognized informal STEM education programs.
- Girl Scouts (US) introduces girls of every age to STEM experiences relevant to everyday life. Whether they are discovering how a car's engine runs, how to manage finances, or exploring careers in STEM fields, girls are fast-forwarding into the future.
- Girls RISEnet (US), a partnership between the Miami Science Museum, the Association of Science-Technology Centers, and SECME, Inc., is strengthening the professional capacity of informal science educators to engage and motivate minority girls in grades 6-12 to explore and pursue science and engineering careers.
- HER Ideas in Motion (US) is a Cleveland-based non-profit corporation focused on helping girls achieve in technology and media arts.
- Institute for Women in Trades, Technology and Science (IWITTS) (US) helps educators close the gender gap for women and girls in male-dominated careers, such as technology, the trades and law enforcement.
- Million Women Mentors (US) is an engagement campaign and call to action that mobilizes corporations, government entities, non-profit and higher education groups, around the imperative of mentoring girls and young women in STEM fields.
- National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) (US) has a vision to bring together organizations throughout the US that are committed to informing and encouraging girls to pursue careers in STEM.
- Sally Ride Science (US) provides tools for college and career readiness that can build students’ passion for STEM fields and careers.
- Techbridge (US) is a program to expand the academic and career options for girls in science, technology, and engineering.
Europe
- SET-Routes is a pan-European network of women scientists from PhD students to institute directors, working in some of the most challenging areas of science: bioinformatics, particle physics, space science, robotics and molecular medicine. SET-Routes’ goal is to awaken young girls' interest in science and to encourage young women graduates to pursue careers in science, engineering and technology – SET.
- "Science: It's a girl thing!" campaign, an initiative of the European Commission, targets girls aged 13-18 -especially those who would not normally be interested in careers in research- and encourages them to study science. Through online and face-to-face activities with inspiring women scientist role models, the campaign reaches out to these teenagers to give real information about the excitement and challenges of being a professional scientist or an engineer.

- WISE (Women in to Science and Engineering) campaign (UK) has a mission to increase the gender balance in the STEM workforce, pushing the presence of female employees from 13% as it stands now, to 30% by 2020.

- Anita Borg Institute (US) provides resources and programs to help industry, academia, and government recruit, retain, and develop women leaders in high-tech fields, resulting in higher levels of technological innovation.
- Women in STEM Knowledge Center (WSKC) powered by WEPAN (Women in Engineering Proactive Network) (US) supports efforts to increase the number and prominence of diverse communities of women in STEM by providing an online community of practice with both resources and collaborative workspaces.
