- SET-Routes is a pan-European network of women scientists from PhD students to institute directors, working in some of the most challenging areas of science: bioinformatics, particle physics, space science, robotics and molecular medicine. SET-Routes’ goal is to awaken young girls' interest in science and to encourage young women graduates to pursue careers in science, engineering and technology – SET.
- "Science: It's a girl thing!" campaign, an initiative of the European Commission, targets girls aged 13-18 -especially those who would not normally be interested in careers in research- and encourages them to study science. Through online and face-to-face activities with inspiring women scientist role models, the campaign reaches out to these teenagers to give real information about the excitement and challenges of being a professional scientist or an engineer.
