Achievement
- Prof Fernando played a fundamental role in the development of the Brazilian Journal of Biomedical Engineering, which subsequently re-named the international Research on Biomedical Engineering journal. He became an expert on biosignal processing, with particular emphasis on Neural Engineering, the main focus of his long career.
